In the spring of 2014, five people found each other, one of whom had been a hobby brewer for quite some time, one who owned a liquor store, two restaurant owners and a brewer’s son, with the same dream, to market their own beer.
From marketing a beer, the ambition to set up a microbrewery soon developed. The search for a suitable location led the five beer lovers to the oldest still habitable Kruisheren monastery in the Netherlands in neighbouring Sint Agatha.
In 2016, it was decided to turn Toebes into a commercial brewery, by developing the various beers, but also generating volume, sales and brand awareness, it wants to establish a name in the Land van Cuijk region and throughout the Netherlands.
In 2023, it was decided to look for another location that fits (even) better with Toebes’ vision for the future.
The qualities of the five brewers complement each other well. Everyone has a specialty that the other has less, which means that this unique combination gets the most out of the brewery.
Because everyone has a large and diverse network, the reach and the so-called sympathy, the goodwill factor, are enormous.
In addition, we have the opportunity to draw from a large enthusiastic group of volunteers. Together with them, we work on the steady growth of Toebes Brabantbier.
